On Thursday, January 28, at 6:30 p.m. SHELLY is back with one of her most popular classes. HOT WOK, & EASY! ($45) is another techniques class; this one in the art of stir-fry. She begins the class with a classic dim sum appetizer called shu mei, a pork dumpling. Then we move on to 3 or 4 stir-fry dishes, all using different ingredients and sauces, to create the confidence that you can do these easily at home. The highlight of the class is a Thai dish similar to General Tso’s Chicken, and the first thing most people who take the class try at home themselves. We’ll talk about equipment, utensils, ingredients and even how to short-cut some things so you can have dinner on the table in the time it takes to cook rice. This class sells out each time it’s offered.
