On Thursday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. SCOTT closes out this quarter with SEVEN FOR STARTERS ($50). This class is all about first courses; from salads, to soups, to canapés, to pasta. We’ll sample some Rustic Rosemary Tarts, enjoy some Steamed Clams & Mussels, taste some toasty Bruschetta, dive into some Crab Cakes with Parsley Cream and Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce, spoon up some Chestnut Soup, and savor a Roasted Beet Salad with Balsamic Dressing. In case you’re still hungry, we’ll also have a Spinach & Herb Risotto. Each of these could very well be a meal on its own, but each is intended to serve as the opener for a fine entrée. Maybe that’ll be SCOTT’s next class, but meantime don’t miss this one!
SCOTT SCHYMIK, is the owner and chef at KIRBY’S PRIVATE DINING and CATERING in Evansville. This very talented young chef has been teaching for us for many years now, first as an assistant instructor and for several years on his own. SCOTT is big on preparing a variety of foods and presenting them in an attractive setting. His one class on this schedule shows this off well.
