On Monday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m. MONIQUE will present A WORLD OF STEWS ($60). Nearly every culture or society in the world makes stews; that’s because they’re so good! MONIQUE will explore the world of slow-cooked nutritious foods as she prepares the classic Coq au Vin, Stewed Seasonal Vegetables, a Greek Chicken Stew with Lemon, and an Asian Curry Stew with Shrimp. You will love these recipes, and of course, you will love learning from MONIQUE.

MONIQUE HOOKER is one of our favorite people, a terific cook and the author of Cooking with the Seasons; A Year in my Kitchen. A native of Brittany, France, MONIQUE has taught at Kendall College in Chicago and at the Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. She's probably trained more Chefs than we've had students in our classes.
